When I created GRP1KNITS in 2019, I wanted a collection that made women feel good from the inside out. I wanted you to make a statement, in our clothing, without creating a fuss. And while we are at it, let’s do some good in the world!
I have been fortunate enough to be a partner of the Breakthrough Collaborative for over 10 years. For the past 40 years Breakthrough has boldly impacted communities across the country through education, mentorship and teaching fellowships.

Inequity in education persists nationwide. Breakthrough Collaborative addresses opportunity gaps for over 10,000 students each year and introduces over 1,100 college students to careers in teaching to build a talented and more diverse educator workforce. The heart of the Breakthrough model is high expectations coupled with high support. This is achieved through a positive learning environment formed by relationships between college-aged teaching fellows and middle and high school students who are fully supported on their path to success.
